Yomba Shoshone Tribe’s Human Services Department consists of social services, welfare assistance, and Indian Child Welfare. The program focuses on improving the quality of life for individual Indians that live on or near Indian reservations and to protect the children, elderly and disabled from abuse and neglect. We provide services to local on-reservation eligible Indians. We work with tribal courts, state courts, and Indian families for the placement and adoption of Indian children in Indian homes. Our program serves as a contact point for numerous social service agencies that are responsible for child protection, placement, and adoption of Indian children.

Along with BIA program such as burial assistance, general assistance, etc. we do provide applications for numerous other agencies such as WIC and TANF which is located outside the office door. If you need additional help filling out applications or need to send the application
